Lynden Collection Kit by Scenic Route Paper Co.
Renaissance Meadow Die-Cut Cardstock by Narratives
Antique Frames White Rub-On Transfers by Hambly Screen Prints
Friends Designer Stickers by Melissa Frances
Pink Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon by May Arts

Instructions for Gift Bag:
1. Cut a 3/4" x 5" strip of blue and a smaller strip of lined pattern paper; machine stitch the stripe paper to the blue.

2. Wrap around the top of the bag and punch two holes about an inch apart in the center of the bag. Tie ribbon through the holes and make a bow; attach button to center.

3. Cut a 2.25" circle out of green pattern paper and a 2.5" circle out of blue. Ink the edges of both and layer under quote sticker; add faux stitching and attach to bag.

Lisa Notes: I have a hard time machine stitching in a circle so I used a faux stitching technique on the tag. Simple use a hole piercer to make the holes and then a white marker to draw the lines between the holes.

Instructions for Card:
1. Create a card out of blue cardstock.

2. Cut a piece of floral paper slightly smaller than the card, ink the edges and machine stitch to a piece of pink cardstock; attach to the front of card.

3. Cut a strip of green pattern paper, ink the edges and run through a sewing machine using no thread.

4. Use a scallop edge scissors to cut a blue mat for the pattern paper and ink; attach to the floral paper.

5. Apply rub-on onto pink paper and cut out. Ink the edges and back with blue paper.

6. Attach sentiment sticker to pink and cut a slim mat; attach to center of run-on.

7. Apply rhinestones to rub-on.

Meet Lisa VanderVeen!

I'm so excited to have Lisa with us this month! Lisa's work is always so inspiring, from her smallest detail to her intricate titles. Let's all give Lisa a huge welcome this month! She's also picked out some fun things to giveaway...check out the bottom of the thread for details.

Meet Lisa:

My very full life encompasses many roles. During my years as a stay-at-home mom (2002 - 2007) I discovered my love of photography and scrapbooking. Having left Corporate America to stay home with my daughter and missing the challenges of my career, I became very interested in the professional side of scrapbooking. I was published during those years in many of the scrapbooking magazines, including Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks, Etc., Scrapbook Trends, Simple Scrapbooks, PaperKuts, Legacy and Memory Makers. I was honored to be named one of Memory Makers' Masters in 2006 and had a lot of fun working with the magazine and the wonderful women who were on the team with me.

In 2007, I went back to work as a Manager of Recruiting and Associate Development at a large, NY-based law firm. I am an attorney by training, but prefer hiring and training lawyers over being one :)

I love the challenge of my job and I have the best of all worlds, as I am able to work part-time and still pick my daughter up from school in the afternoons. This year, I have the privilege of being photo mom for her classroom, which means that I get to photograph every event - they think I'm doing them a favor... Little do they know that I am ecstatic at being allowed in the classroom for all those great photo opps!

I still scrapbook, although much less than I did previously. Currently, I enjoy working with Queen & Co. as a member of their design team, as well as working freelance for Me and My Big Ideas on projects for the Craft and Hobby Association trade shows.
I have the absolute privilege of living in Santa Monica, California with my husband, my daughter and my 17 year old cat, Al. I have lived in Michigan, Chicago, New Jersey and all over Los Angeles, but Santa Monica is my adopted "home" and I hope to never leave it again. Well, except maybe in the fall and winter months, to go find some seasons to photograph - I miss scrapping seasonal photos!

I love the beautiful designs and fabulous product on www.emmaspaperie.com and am delighted to be the guest designer this month. Thanks Cindy!

Lisa has picked out some fun things for her "Favorite Things Giveaway." Leave a comment on this thread for a chance to win them! Winner will be picked by a random number generator and announced on March 16th.
