"I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Virginia. I have always been creative and was in Art classes all through school. After school I was always doing something creative, when I discovered scrap booking and card making a few years back it has became my first luv...lol. I enjoy sharing by creations with others and give away most of what I create. I am married to Gary and we have a Boxer named Jessie. I enjoy travel, photography, the mountains, motorcycle riding, a good cup of coffee(Starbucks), flowers, any time spent with my husband, and quite moments at home. Enjoy!"

Instructions:

**I used a different butterfly punch from Martha Stewart Crafts for my project, but the punch listed above will work perfectly and create a beautiful, 3-dimensional butterfly just as easily.

For Card:

  1. Create card base from cream cardstock. Cover front of card with Thrift Shop paper.
  2. Cut a block of coordinating paper to cover front of Kraft ticket and adhere in place.
  3. Fold a strip of cream lace over bottom edge of Kraft ticket and adhere in place. Attach a strip of gold trim to backside of ticket along bottom edge.
  4. With a sewing pattern still folded, punch butterfly from pattern and staple to desired location on ticket. Either leave the staple in place or run through your sewing machine, gently removing the staple after.
  5. Embellish butterfly with a button and attach a trinket pin to trim and embellish with small flowers.
  6. Punch a hole in left side of ticket, tie with tea-stained twill tape, embellish with a sparkler, and adhere to card front on a diagonal.
  7. Apply rubon just below Kraft ticket to finish.

For Tag:

  1. Adhere ticket to tag. Cut a block of coordinating paper to cover a small portion of ticket and adhere in place.
  2. Attach a small strip of trim to patterned paper block.
  3. Punch butterfly from sewing pattern and repeat step 4 above.
  4. Embellish center of butterfly with an adhesive pearl.
  5. Tie trinket pin with button twine and adhere to bottom of ticket.
  6. Adhere stickers and embellish with small flowers.
  7. Apply rubon to sticker tag.
  8. Adhere a strip of gold trim along the backside of tag at the bottom.
  9. Tie tag with tea-stained twill, button, and button twine.

Geranium Innoscence Collection Flowers by Prima
Artisan Elements Licorice Decorative Tape by Pink Paislee
Green Crystal Long Flourishes VI by Zva Creative
Hula Hoop (Limited Edition Summer 2010 Color) Glimmer Mist 2oz. by Tattered Angels
Cosmos (Limited Edition Spring 2010 Color) Glimmer Mist 2oz. by Tattered Angels

Instructions:

Creating customized glitter to match your project is quick and easy with Glimmer Mists.

Here's how:

1. Pour some white glitter into a jar. Decide on a color you'd like to use. In these photos I used Cosmos.

2. Spray the Glimmer Mist into the jar.

3. Close the jar lid and shake the glitter around. It will collect on the side and the lid of the jar. I used a paint brush to clear it off and shook it a couple of more times. It will be wet and clumpy when you finish.

4. Let the jar sit, opened, overnight. When dry, use the paint brush to break up the clumps until you have a fine consistency. Then you're ready to go!

5 On this card, I sprayed the card base with Cosmos Glimmer Mist. Then, I added a strip of green paper and the blue border from the doily paper. I added a strip of black and white tape.
6. Next, I stitched the card edges and added the dimensional sticker.
7. I cut a portion of the gem swirl and added that. I layered the Prima flower over it.
8. Finally, I painted some Mod Podge onto the white flower and sprinkled on some of the glitter I'd made. This one was done with Hula HoopGlimmer Mist.
