Technique: Glittering Chipboard Buttons


Supplies:

Other supplies used:
Off-white acrylic paint
Button twine

Instructions:
  1. Sand the edges of the chipboard buttons and add ink to distress them a bit.
  2. For the corrugated button, paint it with a light coating of off-white acrylic paint. Let the paint dry slightly, sand the edges to distress, and add ink.
  3. Spray each button with spray adhesive and lightly coat with glitter. Tap off excess glitter.
  4. Top with buttons or simply tie with twine to finish.

Floral Hair Band and Card by Jessica Witty

Supplies:


Other - non-slip shelf liner, no-static embossing bag

Instructions:

Floral Headband:
1. Dye short piece of white elastic in a cup of tea for a few minutes; dry in dryer.
2. Adhere strip of non-slip line to back of floral strip. Deaden any adhesive that shows through with no-static bag.
3.
Stitch ends of elastic to ends of floral strip so that the headband completes a circle

Card:

1. Make card from cardstock. Cover front with cashmere paper.

2. Stamp cardfront with music image in pink ink.

3. Lay the headband over the front edge of the card and score the card front to the right of the headband. Adhere the left side of the card together.

4. Stamp frame in light brown ink.

5. Stamp sentiment in dark brown ink.

6. Wrap headband around card; fold and adhere it on the backside.

Instructions:

1. Gently remove the cover off an old CD case and flip it so the inside
of the cover is not facing out. Pull out the piece that was meant to hold
the CD. Flip the cover backward and this is now the base of your calendar.

2. Cut a piece of cardstock to fin inside the case. Ink the edges. Cut
a piece of pattern paper slightly smaller than the cardstock, ink and
adhere.

3. Use a decorative punch to create bottom edge of calendar page.
Embellish with cardstock stickers, a strip of pattern paper and rhinestones.

4. Use a decorative scissors to cut a strip of cardstock for the top of
the calendar.

5. Print a mini calendar page on white cardstock and ink. (You can find
calendars all over the internet by doing a search for free printable
calendars). Mat the calendar on cardstock and attach to pattern paper.

6. Embellish remaining space with cardstock stickers or other
embellishments.

7. Place calendar page in CD case and store unused pages in top of
cover.

Instructions:

1. Cover banner chipboard with patterned paper.
2. Add die cuts and stickers to front cover.
3. Add journaling and tag die cuts to bingo cards.
4. Adhere jewels to front cover.
5. Punch holes in the chipboard and bingo cards.
6. Tie book closed with ribbon. Add photos.
