Prize Drawing #5

Fun Birthday Fact: The first use of birthday candles came from the ancient Greeks. They made their cakes in a circular shape to honor the goddess of the moon, Artemis and decorated with candles to give the cake their own luminescence.

Prize Drawing #5: Prizes will be posted every hour on the hour. Winners will be picked by a random number generator and all winners will be posted at 9PM tonight. For a chance to win each prize, all you have to do is answer the question with a comment on each hourly post. (make sure to leave your comment under each picture of the prize, click on the photo for a larger view)

The next class will be by Anabelle at 2pm with another prize drawing!

    My fave birthday present was tickets to New Kid son the block, when I was 10..Funny thing is 20 years later, Im going to see them again(In april)

    Best birthday present was a diamond neclace from my hubby (then BF) right after we met. It was the first piece of jewelry he bought me. It is still special to me!

    Last year, for my 50th (yikes!)birthday my sister took me to a beach house at the Outer Banks for a week. It's a beautiful place, but the best part was spending the time with my sister.

    My favorite birthday presents were probably a double strand pearl bracelet from my husband for my
    35th birthday, a diamond tennis bracelet for my 40th and a solitare diamond necklace for my
    50th!!! Now, my favorite birthday gift is just being with my husband and family on the special day!

    My daughter gave me a pair of paperdolls that were each dressed in a cute hanky (hankerchief). She was with me shopping one day and had noticed me admiring them and asked her aunt to get them for her. She was only 12 at the time so i thought that the fact she had paid attention in the halmark store and orchestrated getting them without me knowing was pretty special. I've always been drawn to old hankies in vintage stores and have a small collection but my favorites are the ones i recieved from my daughter. I kept the paperdolls too, they have a special place in my curio. thanks

    I cannot pick one best present, so I have to say that all the little gifts given to me by my children are my favorites! They can be the tackiest, ugliest things, but because they were from them, they are priceless treasures to me!

    One of my best presents was when my mom introduced me to rubber stamping on my birthday. She took me to a stamp store and let me pick out stamps and paper and ink to get me started on what has turned into an addiction!

    I really love boxes. On my 30 years birthday my boyfriend gave me a lot of boxes and in each box there was a present for me... that was great :)

    I should say the my favorite b'day gift was my sister being born on my birthday but I never really saw it that way until I was quite a bit older. Right now my best gift to date was defintely a round trip plane ticket to see my sister. I miss her every day.

    Hmm, best present? Aerosmith concert tickets last year. Unfortunately they didn't tour last year, so I'm still waiting for dates so I can use my tickets! :D

    This year my DH chose my present and gave me some Love-Links charms a snowman and a bible and I'm totally treasuring them because it was a lovely surprise and a nice change from me choosing crafting supplies!!

    Gosh, I don't know. I've received so many nice and thoughtful gifts over the years. Actually, now that I think about it, I was pretty blown away when my dad sent me a check for $500. I nearly died!

    It is nice to be remembered on you brithday so gosh any gifts are nice but my favorite would be, being sent to a scrapbooking BnB with my mom and sister whom had flown in to surprise me.
