Technique: Masked Stamping

Supplies:

Walk in the Park Sunshine Paper by Echo Park
Congrats Delta Mini Stamps by Basic Grey
Laundry Line Natural Color Scheme Ink Pad by My M ind's Eye
Zing! Mustard Opaque Finish Embossing Powder by American Crafts

Instructions:

1. Make card from cardstock. Cover bottom of card with yellow paper and top of card with reverse side.
2. Put stamp on block. Place a strip of scotch tape over the "happy" part of the sentiment, trimming the tape so that it covers only that word.

3. Ink stamp with brown ink.

4. Remove tape from stamp.

5. Stamp sentiment on card.
6. Repeat the masking process, now covering the rest of the sentiment with tape and inking the word "happy" with clear ink.
7. Remove tape and stamp sentiment on card.
8. Cover "happy" with mustard embossing powder and heat emboss.
9. Tie twine around card, thread buttons, and adhere to card.

Instructions:

Coat crown with a generous layer of Creme de Rouge Glimmer Mist. Don't wipe off the excess, just leave it to dry completely. After the Glimmer Mist has dried, swipe distress ink across the front of it to further add more depth and aging.
Cut card base and fold in half. Stamp flourish on top portion of card.
Adhere Glimmer Misted crown to center of flourish and embellish with a metal flower and adhesive pearls.
Attach a strip of cream trim along top edge of card.
Cut patterned paper to fit just below stamped image.
Tie a strip of scrunched seam binding across top of paper and embellish bow with a cream button.
Apply rub-on to a strip of cream paper, cut out to form a banner, ink, and stitch near bottom of card.
Ink edges of letter stickers and adhere above rub-on banner. Stitch in place to finish.

Supplies:

Instructions:

1. Cut Dandelion flower to fit the top of the jar. Cut a smaller piece
of pink paper to place in middle of yellow paper. Embellish with a white
pen.
2. Use hot glue to attach ribbon to outside edge of cover. Attach
buttons to ribbon and embellish with pearls.
3. Add glitter to tag. Back glitter chipboard bird with cardstock and
attach to tag. Tie tag to one of the buttons.
4. Cut heart out of chipboard. Cover with blue cardstock. Add glitter
and pearls.

How to make paper flower:

1. Punch or cut three six petal flowers of the same size.
2. Fold all three of the flowers in half three times. On the first
flower make a cut between two of the petals to the center. (as shown). On
the second flower cut out one petal. Cut two petals out of the third flower
keeping the two petals connected to form a heart. Do not discard the petals.

3. Place a glue dot on the back of one petal adjacent to where you just
cut on each flower. Overlap the two petals to create the flower sections as
shown.

4. Use a toothpick or skewer to curl back the petals on each flower
section.

5. Cut the pointy ends off of the two smaller sections. (as shown)

6. Place a glue dot in the center of the largest flower section. Place
the second largest section inside. Repeat with the smallest section.
7. Using the heart shaped piece that was left from one of the flowers,
curl back each of the petals using the skewer or toothpick.

8. Flatten one of the sections and then roll to create center of flower
as shown.

9. Adhere to the center of the smallest flower section. Roll the
remaining petal as shown.

10. Add glitter to the edges of the flower and cut leaves for the flower.

11. Attach to the top of the jar.

Instructions:

You can make your own embellishments to match your page. Here's what I did on this layout about Ryan and our new kitty, Pulu.

1. Cut two circles from patterned paper. Adhere to page.
2. Use another die cut page to trace onto patterned paper to create the bottom shape on the layout. Cut it out and adhere.

3. Mount photos on blue paper. Layer over circles, die cut.
4. Pleat ribbon, stitch and adhere below the photos.
5. Tuck die cut under photo mat. Journal.
6. Stamp, write and add stickers to create title on the smaller circle.
7. Cut out kitty from paper and adhere over title.
8. Adhere chipboard pieces.
9. Paint buttons with very thin brush and white paint.
