Meet Danielle:
Hello! My name is Danielle and I'm so thrilled to be asked to join Emma’s this month!
A little bit about me…let's see...I'm 37 and am a SAHM with 2 daughters. Taylor is 9 and Kati is 3 1/2. I grew up in South Dakota and shortly after my husband finished his 4 years in the military, we moved to New York for him to pursue a career in Computer Networking. We have been here 8 years now. His family lives here and have been so wonderful taking me in! I still miss home and my family in South Dakota, but I do enjoy it here also. We are upstate near Saratoga Springs, about 3 hours from New York City at the base of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains.
I began to get into papercrafting when my first daughter was born, when a friend introduced me to card making. Shortly after, I took a Creative Memories class and decided to make a baby book for Taylor. I scrapbooked here and there, but about 2 years ago, I discovered the on-line forums. That really opened up the book for me to meet new people and gain inspiration! Now I'm so addicted to chatting with my on-line scrappy friends and sharing ideas. I never thought I'd meet so many wonderful people!
I am currently designing for Dream Street, Melissa Frances and Pink Paislee and have been submitting my work to several magazines. I love the creative side of it all and need that time daily to get my ideas out! I scrap mostly at night after everyone goes to bed. I am definitely a night owl! I’d say my style is feminine and shabby, yet I love to use color and clean lines as well.

I have been scrapping in my dining room for several years and had all my things stored in the buffet, but I’ve recently decided to set up a desk in the basement and I’m really loving having my own space! It’s not much, but it’s wonderful to be able to leave out my sewing machine, embossing machine and such. Everything is ready at my fingertips now! I love to be organized, so I recently purchased some ribbon wraps and organized my ribbon collection. I put similar colors together, except for the ones that come on ribbon wraps, such as Fancy Pants and Pink Paislee. Those stayed on their own wraps. I also decided it was time to organize my huge bag of buttons in clear jars. I love seeing all the colors and could look at them all day!
Thanks so much for reading about me, and thank you for having me as guest designer this month!
