Here's a little about our March Guest Designer:

Hiya! My name's Michelle Clement, I'm a 23 year-old animator by day. I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada close to the beach with my also-artsy hubby, Tzanko. I started scrapbooking when I was 12, after taking a beginners class with my mom and sister. In high school, I picked it back up again doing a scrapbook for an English class project, and then over the years it literally became
the form of expression for me; it was my artistic getaway when I was going through film school. I graduated from a Classical Animation program with a short film I hand-drew, and now work at a local animation studio using Flash to work on animated television shows. Alongside papercrafting, I also draw, sew, paint, and I love writing and art-journaling, as well. I get to make art all day long and then come home and make some more - I couldn't ask for more!
My main sources of inspiration are Mr. Tim Burton's films, Edward Gorey's books and sketches, the film "The Science of Sleep", home decor magazines, and shiny new crafting supplies or a new stack of pictures. My favorite book is "The Time Travelers Wife", and I admire the work of Sabrina Ward Harrison and Roy Lichtenstein, among many other scrapbookers, photographers, and artists alike. I am a sucker for anything antique, cool indie movies, eighties rock n' roll, and graphic tee-shirts, and I especially love the combination of vintage goodies and bright colors anywhere, but especially on my projects! In my spare time, if I'm not making anything, you can find me going for walks, attending film screenings, animating on a small side project, or hanging with hubby at home watching movies. You can read my daily ramblings here:

I have one wall devoted to all things scrap, full of vintage bits and baubles, jars of buttons, and a lin to hang my recent projects up on.
