Nope. I have never had a surprise party. My family knows better :)............
Absolutely! When my friends and I were younger we would do all sorts of fun things to surprise one another on each others birthday. Next week I am turning 30 and am actually hoping there won't be any big surprises! :)
I was surprised once when I was a teenager with a surprise party... That's the only time I can think of.
Like Jenny my family knows better than to throw me a surprise party!!
Never have had a surprise party - but have got lots of nice unexpected presents - just to mention a gorgeous laptop bad which i got on the last birthday ;-)
This is gonna be kinda sad to say, but I've never been surprised on my birthday, because my family usually forgets :D
my best surprise birthday party was last eyra when hubby arranged a kiddie party with my closest friends. :)
No surprises here either. I'm not sure I could take it. I'd probably burst into tears and then be really embarrased. Usually my emotions really get the best of me! It drives me nuts!
Jolene
nope....But that's ok, I don't like surprises... :)
sure - my best surprise was my DH giving me what at the time amounted to my BESTest present ever - a set of Fiskar scissors --- at the time I don't think he realized I thot it'd be so nice as they're Finnish and so am I ... and for giving me my fav snippets for needlepoint purposes. I prefer presents that tell you the person thought of only you rather than, for ex, a dozen roses (which he has does often ... sigh ... and I don't even LIKE roses but he seems to think them the ultimate romantic gesture)!
Ive always wanted a surprise party, but have never gotten one..I was hoping for my 30th, but that passed in August:)
Although for my 25th birthday, dh surprised me with a cake that said to Momma, love Silas(I was pregnant with our son, and we already had his name picked out) so that was sweet.
yes. when i was 6, totally shocked. it was good enough to last me a lifetime...giggle
Yes, on my 30 birthday...it was my best birthday ever :).
I have been surprised on my b-day. My husband threw me a surprise party on my 30th.
My friends threw me a surprise party when I turned 30. I knew we were getting together, but I had no idea how many people were gonna be there! It was a lot of fun.
Never had a surprise party nor do I want one. I don't want to draw attention to my age! My family knows better but my co-workers will not give up on the surprise cake. I think they just want to know my "real" age. I love them all, though, just for thinking of me.
I don't think I've ever been surprised.....with a Christmas birthday I'm just surprised anyone remembers at all!!
My 16th birthday - the day I thought all my friends forgot all about it and walked around school all day in a terrible funk. I guess they proved me wrong that night!
Happy Birthday, Emma's! ;)
No. No one ever forgets, but no surprises here. I am thankful for that though...I embarrass easily, and I think I wouldn't really enjoy a surprise party, or anything like it.

Yes, once...and that was enough!!
Nope, I have not.
no suprises for me . . . but would totally love it if it happened!!!!
I have never had a surprise party before, but do remember a fun surprise on my 17th birthday. I was a waitress and had to work that day...at the end of my shift, a table of regular customers presented me with a piece of cake with a candle in it, and a huge teddy bear. They sand happy birthday and then they all helped me do my cleaning and vacuuming. It was a nice surprise, especially since I didn't think they knew it was even my birthday.
Yes! Last year I was at college on my birthday (3 hours away from home) and my husband (then boyfriend) completely surprised me by coming up to visit. I had no idea until he called and told me to let him in my dorm!
I've had a couple of surprise parties - both during college years. One I knew there was a party, but was told it was for another purpose - just coincidence that it was on my birthday - I bought it!
i've never had a surprise party but got nice gifts as a surprise.
no I haven't
No I never have! I wouldn't object though.
I was thrown a surprise birthday from my friends when I was 18. They planned with my mom. It was great!! Now I just hope noone remembers my birthday!!!!
I was given a surprise tea party on my 50th. I gave my husband a surprise party many years ago.
YES... I am a nurse and on this day i had been pulled to a different floor and was just getting caught up on my charting when my son walked up to the desk holding a birthday balloon. I was so stunned i couldn't speak then my daughter rounded the corner with a big balloon. Then all of a sudden i realized my kids can't drive, they were only 14 and 9. I said "What are you doing out of school and how did you get here?". At that time my sister and nephew came up to the desk with cake and they all sang Happy birthday. All i could do was cry. My sister had checked the kids out of school and brought them up to surprise me and i certainly was. thanks, ms.cheryl
No way.... my family is under strict orders - no surprise parties, especially for those "big" birthdays that always tempt people so much! ;)
Yes! When we were still dating and I was in college, my hubby surprised me with flowers. And he was 500 miles away so I thought that was pretty special!
Yes, I have been surprised with people that have called or sent me a birthday card.
this answer keeps coming up! my mom and step dad flew in for my 30th birthday - they arranged all the info with my hubby!
No birthday surprises for me ... I would enjoy one, but we're a pretty pragmatic group, so I don't see that happening.
not that i know of, but prolly when i was younger
I am usually surprised if my husband remembers it. Never had a surprise party.
Yes, on my 30th birthday. My family threw me a surprise party.
I've never had a surprise birthday party but I've been surprised with flowers a couple times. Hubby usually sends roses every 10 years on a milestone birthday.
No surprise party but my first birthday after being married my husband bought a cake and stuck a ring in it. When I ate my cake I found the ring and said "oh my gosh the lady that baked this cake lost her ring"!! Took me a second to realize it was a surprise gift! Glad I didn't swallow it! ; )
No thank goodness!! I do NOT like surprises like that!
Yes when I hubby bought me a Cricut!! He is not a fan of papercrafting and does not like to spend money! (LOL) I almost fainted!
:)Kathy
No, I've never been surprised with a party, but I have had some unexpected gifts. Usually birthdays are pretty quiet.
I did have some friends pop by when my kids were wee and take me out to Timmy's!
Yep... once. I kinda had a feeling but my BFF held a surprise party for me. It was a lot of fun!
I was given a surprise party on my 16th, but it got out just before the party started! LOL!
When my husband and I were first engaged, he and my roommates planned a surprise birthday party for me.
NEVER!! And I ask myself why not?!?! :)
No, I have never had a surprise party.....
I think I wouldn't like one
Love
Marcia
On my 40th b-day our family went skiing in Vermont and when we drove up in our driveway coming home there were black balloons and crepe paper everywhere. My friends had done it while we were away!
NO, Please don't do it.
No, I have never been surprised on my birthday and that is perfectly ok!
Yes, one year an old BF threw a surprise party for me-- but I almost blew the surprise by showing up unexpectedly early and running into a friend outside. I then had to pretend to be surprised.
No but I'd love to be that would be so much fun....as long as it wasn't with a parachute jump or anything like that though!!
Alas no, no one has ever thrown a surprise party of gave me a surprise gift!
No! I've had surprises for other big events, but not my bday.
Yes. When I was still somewhat shy and reserved my friends actually had a stripper come to dance for me on my birthday. It wasn't my thing at all, however, I was very surprised!
Well, yes, actually I was once surprised... and it turned out to be a very awkward situation, unfortunately. On the other hand, I love throwing surprise parties for others... my husband has had a few!
YES. My sweet 16th. My parents' house was filled wall to wall with friends from school. Thanks mom and dad for a great childhood memory! Thanks also for a chance to win some goodies.
Yes, when I was a teenager my friends and I surprised each other with presents and sorts, but no surprise party, come to think of it.
